This week I worked on improving the photobooth. Now it only asks permission for your camera once, and if you click the screen after the photos are taken it goes through a number of different filters. Right now they’re just swapping the color of the pixels but now that I understand how it works building more sophisticated filters is possible. It was torture trying to get this to work, and after hours of playing with the code with no results I went for a walk and I ate and then I realized I put some if() loops in the wrong order. It still looks super weird in my Firefox and will not show up at all on Chrome or IE, but at least it works locally. Thanks to Moon’s code from which I borrowed, and to Dano who helped me figure out how to preserve the original pixels.
